Vision
This music video by Casting Crowns sums up what we are working to achieve–using God’s Word as a path to follow.
Our purpose is to glorify Christ in all things, to grow in the knowledge of His word, uplift and encourage one another in our Christian walks, and to provide opportunities for service in our church and community while reaching out to others.
What Men Want
-
Men are looking for meaning and purpose in life
-
Men are seeking understanding of who they are and what they are thinking
-
Men want solutions to their everyday problems and difficulties
-
Men want to know God — who he is and what he means to them
-
Men want effective men’s ministry that touches them where they are
-
Men want friendships that are built on trust and that will last
-
Men want help with family issues, especially training for their children
Men of Iron tries to help men by giving them the tools they need in today’s world as Christian husbands, fathers and leaders that God meant for men to be.
Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of the Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11-12 “It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
Colossians 3:19, 21 “Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.”
For every 10 men in the average church:
- 8 will not find their jobs satisfying
- 6 will pay monthly minimum on credit cards
- 5 will have a major problem with pornography
- 4 will get divorced (divorce affects 1 million children each year)
- Only 1 will have a truly Biblical worldview
- All ten will struggle to balance family and work
We do not want you to end up just another discouraging statistic. Join with us as you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors.
